SCULPTRA TREATMENT

UNDERSTANDING THE TREATMENT

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment primarily used to address facial wrinkles, lines, and folds. Unlike dermal fillers, which primarily add volume to the skin, Sculptra stimulates the body's natural collagen production, resulting in gradual and subtle improvements in skin texture and elasticity over time.

TREATMENT PROCESS

STEP 01

CONSULTATION

Like with any cosmetic procedure, your journey with Sculptra begins with a consultation with a qualified healthcare provider, such as a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. During this consultation, you'll discuss your aesthetic goals, medical history, and suitability for Sculptra treatment.

STEP 02

TREATMENT PLAN

Based on your consultation, your provider will create a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and desired outcomes. Sculptra is commonly used to address nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, chin wrinkles, and other facial wrinkles and creases.

STEP 03

THE PROCEDURE

On the day of your Sculptra treatment, your provider will cleanse the treatment area and may apply a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Sculptra is then injected into the targeted areas of the face using a fine needle. The injections are strategically placed to stimulate collagen production and improve skin volume and texture.

STEP 04

POST-TREATMENT CARE

After receiving Sculptra injections, you may experience some temporary side effects such as swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection sites. These side effects typically subside within a few days to a couple of weeks. Your provider may recommend gentle massage of the treated areas to ensure even distribution of the product.

STEP 05

THE RESULTS

Unlike dermal fillers, which provide immediate results, the results of Sculptra treatment are not immediately apparent. Instead, Sculptra works gradually over several weeks to months as collagen production is stimulated. Most people start to see noticeable improvements in skin texture and elasticity after a few weeks, with optimal results becoming apparent after multiple treatment sessions.
